Facial Treatments in 2026: Personalization and Wellness

In 2024 we wrote about facial treatment trends. Now, in 2026, we are updating the topic with recent data.

Beauty and wellness, more connected than ever. According to a McKinsey & Company report published in June 2026, beauty purchases are increasingly part of daily routines and overall wellness, which is also driving demand for wellness categories and for medical and aesthetic services. The same report projects the global beauty market to grow 5% a year through 2030 (Wolfer et al., 2026).

Personalization starts with the skin. A facial is tailored to each person’s skin type and needs (Cleveland Clinic, 2023). In Florida, the consultation and skin analysis are also part of the facial service (Minimum Curriculum for Facial Specialty Training, 2020). Dermatologists also point out that no single product works for every skin type (American Academy of Dermatology, 2022).

The traditional and the modern. Traditional techniques such as gua sha now sit alongside modern facials. Cleveland Clinic (2025) notes that there is not yet enough high-quality research to confirm its benefits.

Wellness counts too. Besides caring for the skin, a facial is meant to help you relax (Cleveland Clinic, 2023).
